What once was a BIG HIT, and the place to be on weekends, What once was where to go when you’re bored or going some where. “The Avenues” of the Past, Awqaf Mall.
I once went there because my mom likes the store that sells dining wear and antiques, and we went upstairs, and I had these flash memories of this place wen I used to go there when I was a kid. I remember this place used to be filled with people and high trend stores, but now it turned to into a DUMP, I mean you can see from the video that this place is about to fall down. The second floor of it is empty no store is open. I think this is sad is some way, because this was I lace I used to go as a child I remember the little playground they have, little stands that sells chips and popcorn, the one and only restaurant they have in that Mall, and I remember I once bought my Eid dress from a high trend store there.
Is “The Avenues” Mall will turn into this after 20yrs ?
I agree its sad, I remember I used to go to Awqaf for the fishes shop and there was also another shop that sells weird magic stuff, sadly its now abandoned.

Yeah it is really sad.
It all comes down to maintenance, Kuwait has limited and sometime NO Maintenance in most of the malls, building, towers, even tourist spots. This is really a big issue, if you want to survive you have to maintain fix redesign and move forward, other wise they’ll end up like this Mall, once a BIG HIT, now BARELY STANDING.
